
Internal Affairs Unit
The Internal Affairs Unit has the responsibility to review and investigate complaints of police misconduct involving all local Sussex County Police Departments and the Sussex County Sheriff's Department. The Unit is guided by the New Jersey Attorney General's Internal Affairs Policy and Procedures which is a formal procedure for investigating anonymous, citizen and agency complaints. These procedures ensure fairness and protect the rights of both citizens and law enforcement.
