Sussex County Launches Veteran Services Resource Portal
(Newton, NJ) - Veterans and their needs have always been a top priority for the Sussex County Freeholder Board. In an effort to address these needs, the Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to announce its launch of the Veteran Services Resource Portal. The information available on the portal consists of Veteran services currently being offered within Sussex County as well as those services offered by the Veterans Administration. The portal is available to all residents through the County's website located at www.sussex.nj.us.
Veterans and their families can now access valuable information about services and resources available to them at their fingertips. The Portal will provide an accurate, up to date resource that will allow the user to easily locate services that meet their particular needs including those related to health, housing, ID Cards, mental health/substance abuse services, and transportation. In addition, the Portal also has valuable links to a number of services provided by non-profit organizations, State, and Federal Veteran resources.
Veterans have sacrificed and placed their lives at risk to preserve our freedom. The return home can be overwhelming for many Veterans when they are faced with trying to obtain needed services. The portal will serve as an invaluable tool that can streamline information and make the process easier for Veterans and their loved ones.
The County of Sussex would like to encourage all Veterans to visit the Veteran Services Resource Portal today and share this information with all those who could benefit from this new resource tool.
