Frankford, NJ – On Tuesday, May 15th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the Main Branch of the Sussex County Library System will hold a workshop for teenagers interested in learning about today's job market. This free program, titled "Teens: Your Path to Employment," will give area teens the tools they need to find employment and create a path for a future career. The program will discuss: volunteering; searching for and applying for jobs; formatting a resume; interview tips; following up for success; and building bridges for the future. More information and registration details are available through the Events link at sussexcountylibrary.org or by calling Julie Knapp at 973-948-3660, ext. 3409.

This free workshop is made possible by the New Jersey Libraries Career Connections Grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Now entering its third year, the partnership between LWD's Career Connections and New Jersey libraries extends the reach of the One-Stop Career Center system by training local library staff in the various workforce programs offered by the state and local partners. The Sussex County Library hosts workshops on resume building, job searching, LinkedIn, interviewing, and networking. Additionally, the library is able to offer one-on-one job assistance.
