Colorectal cancer causes more deaths than you might think. Of cancers that affect both men and women, colorectal cancer, or cancer of the colon or rectum, is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States.

The National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable
Less than two-thirds of the population is up-to-date with colorectal cancer (CRC) screening. A national campaign has been initiated to increase screening rates to 80% by 2018.

Through the Sussex County Division of Health, the New Jersey CEED (Cancer Education and Early Detection) Program offers free screenings to those who are underinsured or uninsured. Check the NJCEED eligibility criteria. More information on the NJCEED program.
