Mosquito Borne Disease Surveillance Program
Our laboratory and surveillance program monitors mosquito and virus activity by testing adult mosquitoes for the presence of many types of mosquito borne diseases. This surveillance and testing information helps guide all control efforts.
The Sussex County Office of Mosquito Control notifies municipalities of all positive samples of adult mosquitoes. For the safety of our residents and mosquito staff, exact locations of positive samples are not disclosed.
