Press Release - Sentencing of Monica Hidalgo-Beltran

March 11, 2022

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Monica Hidalgo-Beltran, who appeared before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 10, 2022.

     Hidalgo-Beltran, age 34 of Green, was sentenced to one year of probation.  She was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, submit a DNA sample and pay fines and fees totaling $811.00.  Her driver’s license was ordered suspended for one year for Driving While Intoxicated.  She was ordered to attend 12 hours at the Intoxicated Driver Resource Center and utilize an ignition interlock device for 18 months.

     She pled guilty on January 12, 2022, to Assault by Auto, a fourth degree crime.  She pled guilty to Driving While Intoxicated, a motor vehicle offense, on March 10, 2022.

     On January 16, 2016, in Stanhope, she recklessly drove a vehicle while under the influence and caused bodily injury to an individual.

     Hidalgo-Beltran was represented by Martin Morrison, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
