Sussex County Announces New Website Design
The new website is mobile friendly, meaning it will work on any type of device, be it phone, tablet, auto dashboard, or desktop computer.
The new website is accessible, meaning it conforms to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Accessible websites are more easily used by persons with disabilities and electronic devices such as screen readers. Conforming to accessibility guidelines promotes a higher level of quality and adherence to modern best practices.
Each of the over 400 web pages and over 300 news articles prominently features a "How can we help?" box to make it easy to search for any topic.
The "How Do I?" menu provides tips for finding applications, popular topics and other common tasks.
At certain times over 50% of the three quarters of a million annual page views of the Sussex County website are done with a smart phone. The new website design will make it easier for visitors to use the website from any handheld device.
