The 98th Annual Sussex County Firemen's Association Inspection Day & Parade will be hosted by Ogdensburg Fire Department on Saturday, October 6, 2018 with step-off promptly at 1 p.m.

The Ogdensburg Fire Department was organized August 9, 1918 at a meeting in the Ogdensburg Borough Hall. Their first firehouse was in the basement of the Municipal Building. The first Chief of Ogdensburg Fire Department was Edward Chamberlain. With great pride, they are celebrating their 100th year of volunteer service to their community. The parade will step off on CR 517 in the area of Blue Ridge Lumber and continue into town past the reviewing stand and end at the firehouse. Grand Marshals for the parade will be Ex-Chief Daniel Scheuer and former Mayor and Honorary Member Augie Rutkowski.

Trophies will be awarded afterwards for Marching, Apparatus and Hose Laying competitions. Both in-county and out-of-county guest departments and EMS squads are eligible for trophies. The parade will also include invited dignitaries and guests.

Hose Laying Competition will be held immediately after completion of the parade.
