Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Matthew R. Marzullo, who appeared before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Virtual Sussex County Courtroom in Newton on January 14, 2022.
Marzullo, age 21, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to three years New Jersey State Prison. The defendant will also be subject to registration under Megan’s Law, Parole Supervision for Life, will have no contact with children under the age of 18, and be subject to internet restrictions upon his release.
He pled guilty on July 7, 2021 to Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Distribution of Child Pornography, a crime of the second degree.
The defendant possessed and distributed child pornography using his Drop Box account and the mobile application Chatous.
Marzullo was represented by Shepard Kays, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
