Light It Up Blue
Light it Up Blue
Sheriff Michael Strada is proud to announce the Sussex County Sheriff's Office's Participation in World Autism Awareness Day.
On April 2, 2015 the Sussex County Sheriff's Office Facebook pages and website will be "going blue" in support of Light It Up Blue on World Autism Awareness Day. We are honored to show our support and raise awareness for the autistic citizens of Sussex County on World Autism Awareness Day.
We are pleased to be able to offer increased safety to autistic children and adults and peace of mind to their families with our Project Lifesaver Program. The Sussex County Sheriff's Office currently provides Project Lifesaver transmitters free of charge to any Sussex County resident diagnosed with a condition that may cause a propensity to wander. These transmitters emit a radio frequency unique to the transmitter that Sussex County Sheriffs Officers use to locate the missing individual. This technology has cut search times from hours and days to an average of just 30 minutes according to Project Life Saver International. To apply for the program or for more information please visit us at http://www.sussexcountysheriff.com/community/project_lifesaver
If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Project Lifesaver Administrator Sergeant Krista Galante at (973) 579-0850 ex 2520 or kgalante@sussexcountysheriff.com.
Throughout the month of April, Sussex County residents can support their neighbors and friends by participating in Light It Up Blue.
