May is Mental Health Awareness Month
In recognition of May as Mental Health Awareness Month and the importance of visual arts and its therapeutic effects, the Sussex County Department of Health and Human Services partnered with the Sussex County Community College, Alpha Arts Institute to showcase works of art connecting themes of mental health during “Embrace the Elephant in the Room” event on May 3, 2023, the 2nd night of SCCC’s “Festival of the Arts.”
