The Sussex County Library System Makes Thousands of Newspapers and Magazines Titles Available from Anywhere
Newton NJ – PressReader online newsstand of over 7,000 publications is available free to all Sussex County Library System (SCLS) cardholders. Content can be read instantly or downloaded for later. Readers can view full digital publications (like paging through a magazine) or use the text-view interface to optimize page views for mobile browsing. Publications can be sorted by country of origin (over 120), language (more than 60) and category to streamline browsing. Topic searches can further narrow the results. Create a home feed and “subscribe” to your favorite publications and never miss an issue.
“PressReader brings the world to your smart device,” stated Library Director Will Porter. “From Old Cars to Modern Cat you can find a publication to suit almost any interest, plus major newspapers from around the world.”
To get started go to https://sussexcountylibrary.org/digital-newsstand/ and follow the instructions for using the site through your internet browser, or follow the links to the appropriate app store to download the app. Users will need the barcode from the back of their SCLS library card, and their pin number to create an account. All Sussex County residents, students, workers and property owners (except Sparta) are eligible for a free library card, and can apply in person at their local branch, or online at sussexcountylibrary.org/get-library-card/.
In addition to PressReader, the SCLS also offers America’s News by Newsbank®, an easy to search database that helps users stay informed on local and national topics, people and events from news sources spanning the U.S., including The Star Ledger, NJ Herald and Sparta Independent.
For more information and help with PressReader, America’s News, or any of the other great resources the SCLS has to offer stop by your local branch or go online to sussexcountylibrary.org.
