March Storytimes at the Sussex County Libraries
Newton, NJ – Weekly storytimes will be held at every branch of the Sussex County Library System throughout March. Lapsits encourage babies (0-18 months) and their caregivers to interact through simple stories, songs and fingerplays. Toddler Storytimes, for children 18 months through 3 years, feature stories, songs and simple activities around a different theme each week. Preschool Storytimes, for ages 3-5, promote Kindergarten-readiness with longer stories, songs, and craft time with simple instructions.
New to the libraries is Tiny Tots Playtime. Created for caregivers, this a chance for adult socialization as the little ones play with toys selected to be safe for children ages 0-3. A member of the Youth Services staff hosts the Playtime and is available for reading recommendations and other questions, but there is no set agenda, just a chance to talk and play.
Specific dates and times for all of the above, not to mention LEGO Club, American Girl, Stitching Tales, Meet the Composers, and much, much more, can be found on the Events Calendar at sussexcountylibrary.org or by calling or visiting your local branch:
