Press Release - Plea of Steven Kristiansen

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 15, 2019, by Steven Kristiansen.
     Kristiansen, age 50 of Byram, pled guilty to Burglary and Attempted Theft, both third degree crimes.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for November 13, 2019.
     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to entering the Flatbrook Wildlife Management Area maintenance garage in Sandyston Township on May 27, 2019, and attempting to take various tools and property. 
     The case was investigated by Officer Steve Sutton of the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife, Bureau of Law Enforcement.
     Kristiansen was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
