Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Farad M. Carver, who appeared before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on August 28, 2019.
Carver, age 25 of Lindenwold, NJ, was sentenced to two years probation. He must also perform 25 hours of community service and pay mandatory fines and fees.
He pled guilty on June 7, 2019 to Theft, a third degree crime. Carver admitted to stealing used car batteries from the Walmart in Hampton Township.
Carver was represented by Shaun Russell, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
