Press Release - Plea of Gabor Szilagyi

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on September 23, 2019, by Gabor Szilagyi.
     Szilagyi, age 56 of Sparta, pled guilty to Driving While Suspended, a fourth degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for November 8, 2019.
     On March 27, 2019, Sparta Township Police executed a motor vehicle stop.  In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to driving while his privilege to operate a motor vehicle in New Jersey was suspended based upon a conviction for Driving While Intoxicated.
     The case was investigated by Ptl. T. Herd of the Sparta Township Police Department.
     Szilagyi was represented by John Cerza, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
