Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of guilty pleas to accusations before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 5, 2019, by Gabriella Gobla.
Gobla, age 21 of Franklin, pled guilty to Theft of Mislaid Property, a third degree crime, and Possession of Marijuana, a Disorderly Persons offense. Sentencing is presently anticipated for August 2, 2019.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking a cell phone that was mistakenly left in a Vernon Township restaurant on February 21, 2019, and to being in possession of marijuana on July 10, 2018, in Hardyston Township.
The cases were investigated by Patrolman Sean Perry of the Vernon Township Police Department and Detective Andrew Norman of the Hardyston Township Police Department.
Gobla was represented by Brent DiMarco, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
