Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Ashley Bruno, who appeared before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 12, 2019.
Bruno, age 22 of Wantage, NJ, was sentenced to two years probation. She must also pay mandatory fines and fees.
She pled guilty on January 14, 2019 to theft by unlawful taking and terroristic threats, both third degree crimes.
Bruno admitted to stealing $2,130 while working as a cashier at Acme Supermarket in 2017. Defendant also admitted that during an argument with a family member, she threatened to commit a crime of violence.
Bruno was represented by Charles O’Connell, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Rachelle Jones.
