Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Tami Richardson, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 15, 2019.
Richardson, age 53, of Swartswood, was sentenced to 210 in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility. She must serve two years Probation and pay $73,093.50 restitution and $155.00 in court fines and fees.
She pled guilty on December 5, 2018, to Theft by Unlawful Taking, a crime of the third degree.
The defendant stole funds from the Swartswood Volunteer Fire Department from 2015 through 2018.
Richardson was represented by Bruce Farrier, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
