Press Release - Sentencing of Mary Mania

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Mary Mania, who appeared before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on February 22, 2019.
     Mania, age 33 of Dover, was sentenced to two years of non-custodial probation with credit for 36 days of time served.  She was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service work and pay fines and fees totaling $1,205.00.  Her driver license was ordered suspended for six months.
     She pled guilty on October 24, 2018, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.
On May 6, 2017, the defendant was arrested for an outstanding warrant and was in `possession of heroin.
     Mania was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
