Press Release - Plea of Dominick Bencivengo

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to indictments before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on February 11, 2019, by Dominick Bencivengo.
     Bencivengo, age 28 of Lake Hopatcong, pled guilty to two counts of third degree Theft.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 5, 2019.
     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking a 2002 Mercedes Benz S430 on September 9, 2015, and a 2005 Kia Sedona Minivan on October 21, 2015, both from Sparta Township.
     The cases were investigated by Detective Sergeant Terrence Mulligan, Detective Joseph Antonello and Detective Jeffrey McCarrick of the Sparta Township Police Department.
     Bencivengo was represented by Shaun Morgan Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
