Press Release - Plea of Erika Arcila

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, JSC, at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 14, 2019, by Erika Arcila.
     Arcila, age 28, of Branchville, pled guilty to two counts of Driving While Suspended, both fourth degree offenses.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for February 22, 2019.
     On April 18, 2018, upon being pulled over for a routine motor vehicle stop in Andover, Arcila admitted to Andover Law Enforcement that she was driving without a driver’s license and that her New Jersey driver’s license was suspended.
     The case was investigated by Ptl. Alex Price of the Andover Police Department.
     On November 29, 2018, while driving on a suspended license, Arcila was apprehended by Sussex County Sheriff’s Officer, Det. Sgt. Scott Haggerty on a warrant for her arrest.
     Erika Arcila was represented by Shaun Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Magdalen Czykier.
