Press Release - Sentencing of Jennifer Falkenstern

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Jennifer Falkenstern, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on November 2, 2018.
     Falkenstern, age 38, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, formally of Bergenfield, New Jersey, was sentenced to four (4) years probation on condition she undergo a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, complete 200 hours of community service, submit a DNA sample, and pay a total of $5,725.07 restitution to the victim and PNC Bank, along with court fines and fees.
     She pled guilty on December 4, 2017, to Theft, a crime of the fourth degree. 
     While working for the victim, Falkenstern took over $35,000.00 from the victim’s personal bank account for her own use.
     Falkenstern was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
