Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Rylee S. Smyth, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 5, 2018.
Smyth, age 26 of Hawley, PA, was sentenced to four years probation. She must complete a TASC Evaluation, attend weekly AA/NA meetings and pay all fines and fees.
She pled guilty on August 20, 2018 to two counts of Possession of CDS, third degree crimes. Smyth admitted that, while being pulled over, she was passed the heroin and told to hide it.
Smyth was represented by Steven Insley, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Sally Anne Monkemeier.
