Press Release - Plea of Gregory C. Luca, Jr.

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on February 27, 2018, by Gregory C. Luca, Jr.
     Luca, age 33, of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, pled guilty to Shoplifting, a third degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 13, 2018. 
     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking merchandise on three separate occasions in 2016, from the Hampton Walmart by purposely concealing the merchandise on his person and exiting the store without purchasing the items. The merchandise was collectively valued at over $700.00.
     The case was investigated by Trooper Korszoloski of the New Jersey State Police. 
     Luca was represented by Shaun Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Laura Nazzaro.
