Families Encouraged to Apply for NJ FamilyCare

If you work with families who have uninsured children or know people who do, the Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Community and Youth Services is asking for your help to alert these families to the mailings about FamilyCare.

If you work with families who have uninsured children or know people who do, the Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Community and Youth Services is asking for your help to alert these families to the mailings about FamilyCare. This shortened application gives parents a quick and easy way to secure health coverage for their children. The state has mailed an easy, 1-page application to about 67,000 families in Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren counties. These families indicated on their 2008 state income tax returns that they have at least one child without health insurance.

Families whose health insurance status may have changed since filing their 2008 returns also are encouraged to apply using the basic one-page NJ FamilyCare application.
