Press Release - Sentencing of Jay Holodynsky
PRESS RELEASE

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Jay Holodynsky, who appeared before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 8, 2022.
Holodynsky, age 32 of Oak Ridge, was sentenced to two years of non-custodial probation with conditions to mimic Recovery Court to the extent practicable. He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, submit a DNA sample and pay fines and fees totaling $1,205.00.
He pled guilty on February 8, 2022, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.
The defendant was in possession of heroin on October 9, 2021, in Vernon Township.
Holodynsky was represented by Matthew Young, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
