Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 5, 2020, by Michael Milazzo.
Milazzo, age 29 of Wantage, pled guilty to Terroristic Threats, a fourth degree crime, and two disorderly persons offenses, Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest. The defendant also pled guilty to two motor vehicle offenses, Speeding and Driving While Suspended. Sentencing is presently anticipated for June 18, 2020.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted threatening to commit any crime of violence with the purpose to terrorize another, specifically by threatening to cause injury to Ptl. Jason Franco in Hamburg Township on December 12, 2019. The defendant further admitted to knowingly causing damage to equipment at the Hamburg Township Police Department and purposely preventing a law enforcement officer from preventing an arrest.
The case was investigated by Patrolman Jason Franco of the Hamburg Township Police Department.
Milazzo was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Magdalen Czykier.
