Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Ruth Hook, who appeared before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 3, 2019.
Ruth Hook, age 45, of Lafayette, was sentenced to was sentenced to two years probation in exchange for pleading guilty to third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and driving while under the influence. The sentence will run concurrent but not coterminous with her current term of probation.
In addition to probation, the court ordered a seven (7) month loss of driving privileges, along with twelve (12) hours of Intoxicated Driver Resource Center classes, mandatory fines and assessments, refrain from drinking alcohol and attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
She pled guilty on March 11, 2019, to Endangering the Welfare of a Child (a third degree crime).
Defendant was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Laura L. Nazzaro.
