Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 18, 2019, by Dion Osborne.
Osborne, age 37 of Newton, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime, and Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (1st offense), a motor vehicle offense. Sentencing is presently anticipated for May 3, 2019.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of and under the influence of heroin while driving on October 16, 2018, in Wantage Township.
The case was investigated by Tpr. J.C. Rodriguez of the New Jersey State Police.
Osborne was represented by Shaun Morgan Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Nikoletta Agouras.
