Press Release - Plea of Christopher Morey

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 10, 2018, by Christopher Morey.
     Morey, age 33 of Bangor, Pennsylvania, pled guilty to Terroristic Threats, a third degree crime, and to a Violation of Probation.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for January 25, 2019.
     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to threatening an individual with murder on August 8, 2018, in Andover Township and to violating his probation.
     The case was investigated by Trooper J.T. Halpin of the New Jersey State Police.
     Morey was represented by Charles O’Connell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
