Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Kevin Dilks, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, on October 23, 2018.
Dilks, age 43, of Hopatcong was sentenced to 12 years state prison with a five year period of parole ineligibility, 225 days jail credit, $3,205.00 in fines and a two year loss of driver’s license.
He pled guilty on July 31, 2018 to the first degree crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
He admitted that on March 12, 2018, in the Borough of Hopatcong, he distributed Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) while he was on Drug Court Probation. The matter was a joint investigation by the Hopatcong Police Department and the Sussex County Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force
