Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Darren C. Reap, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 8, 2018.
Reap, age 54, of Sparta, was sentenced to two years Probation on condition he undergo Mental Health and TASC evaluations and follow all recommendations, submit to random urine monitoring, submit a DNA sample and pay $2317.00 in court fines and fees.
He pled guilty on April 17, 2018, to False Public Alarm and False Report to Law Enforcement, both crimes of the fourth degree.
The defendant would place numerous calls to 9-1-1 emergency dispatch without the purpose of reporting the need for 9-1-1 services. He also called Andover Police Department to report a third party harassment, when the harassment did not occur.
Reap was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
