Press Release - Plea and Sentencing of David Levine

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea and sentence before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 12, 2018, by David Levine.
     Levine, age 50, of Hopatcong, New Jersey, pled guilty to one (1) count of Contempt, a disorderly persons offense. On December 18, 2017, Levine violated an active Temporary Restraining Order when he sent multiple emails to his ex-girlfriend. Levine was sentenced to serve 76 days in jail, receiving credit for 76 days time served. Levine was also ordered to pay $225 in fines and assessments.
     Levine was represented by David Nufrio, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie C. LaCarrubba.
