Press Release - Sentencing of Ian Mandt

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Ian Mandt, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on February 23, 2018.
     Mandt, age 48 of Kinnelon, NJ, was sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for 111 days time served. Mandt was also ordered to one (1) year of probation, pay mandatory fines and fees and to have no contact with the victims. 
     Mandt pled guilty on January 8, 2018 to one (1) count of False Call to 9-1-1, a fourth degree crime, one (1) count of False Report to Law Enforcement, a fourth degree crime, and one (1) count of Harassment, a fourth degree crime.
On various dates in 2017, Mandt made false reports through the 9-1-1 service to induce officers to respond to his ex-girlfriend’s home in Hopatcong in order to harass her and her family.
     Mandt was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie C. LaCarrubba.
