Press Release - Plea of Ian Mandt

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 8, 2018, by Ian Mandt.
     Mandt, age 28, of Kinnelon, New Jersey, pled guilty to one (1) count of False Call to 9-1-1, a fourth degree crime, one (1) count of False Report to Law Enforcement, a fourth degree crime, and one (1) count of Harassment, a fourth degree crime. On various dates in 2017, Mandt made false reports through the 9-1-1 service to induce officers to respond to his ex-girlfriend’s home in Hopatcong in order to harass her and her family.
     Sentencing is presently anticipated for February 23, 2018.
     Mandt was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie C. LaCarrubba.
