     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Ashley Mizzer, who appeared before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 7, 2021.

 

     Mizzer, age 32 of Kendall Park, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to three years of probation with conditions to mimic Recovery Court to the extent possible.  She was ordered to submit to a substance abuse evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, sign waivers as required, submit a DNA sample and pay fines and fees totaling $1,155.00.

 

     She pled guilty on November 8, 2021, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.

 

     The defendant was in possession of heroin on July 3, 2021, in Hopatcong.  

 

     Mizzer was represented by Shaun Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
