February 24, 2021

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on February 24, 2021, by Sheila Roe-Celentano.

     Roe-Celentano, age 46 of Franklin, pled guilty to Resisting Arrest, a third degree crime, and Obstructing the Administration of Law, a fourth degree crime, and a violation of probation.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for March 25, 2021.

     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to preventing Franklin law enforcement officers from effecting a lawful arrest and investigating a crime by using physical force against them on March 2, 2020.

     The case was investigated by Sgt. William Grissom, Det. David Schneider, Ptl. Daniel Flora and Ptl. Jeffrey Korger of the Franklin Borough Police Department.

     Roe-Celentano was represented by Bruce C. Farrier, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
