Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on July 25, 2019, by Michael D. Hand.
Hand, age 27 of Highland Lakes, pled guilty to Theft by Failing to make Proper Disposition, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for September 20, 2019.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to purposely retaining personal property with a combined worth of $590.00 from NJ Climber Tree Service on October 19, 2018.
The case was investigated by Detective Nicholas Palmisano of the Vernon Township Police Department.
Hand was represented by Charles O’Connell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Magdalen Czykier.
