Newton, NJ – The staff of the Dennis Branch Library, located at 101 Main Street in Newton, invites their patrons to take a break during the school holidays and join them for a Winter Festival of Fun. The celebrations kick off at 3:30 p.m. on December 17 with kids in grades 4-8 building gingerbread houses out of graham crackers. On Monday evening, December 23, families are invited to hear holiday stories at 6:30 p.m. At 1:00 p.m. on December 26 kids in Kindergarten through 3rd grade will decorate the gingerbread houses built by the older children. On Friday, December 27, Mad Science will be on hand, demonstrating how to manipulate matter from liquid, to solid, to gas. Their amazing show begins at 1:00 p.m. and is for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade. The fun continues into the next week with a special meeting of the LEGO Club at 3:00 p.m. on December 30; and a family story time (10:30 a.m.) and early New Year’s Eve celebration (1:30 p.m.) on the 31st.
