The County of Sussex is Awarded an $11,167.00 Grant to Support Public Works and Motor Fuels Shared Service Initiatives in the County.
April 14, 2009. New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Director, Joseph V. Doria, Jr., announced that Sussex County was awarded a "Sharing Available Resources Efficiently" or "SHARE" grant for $11,167.00.
The "SHARE" grant was awarded to assist in the transition of and to facilitate the County of Sussex in providing core Public Works Services to the Borough of Andover. Specifically the funding will be used to purchase electronic winter maintenance material spreading equipment and will also fund the purchasing of computer equipment for Andover Borough officials to access and track motor fuels use. Andover Borough officials reported the shared service agreement with the county saved $19,000.00 annually.
