(12/19/2014) Rehabilitation of Sussex County Bridge V-39 CR 642 Vernon & Wantage Townships Bridge V-39, County Route 642 (Owens Station Road) over Wallkill River.
The concrete deck placement has been completed as well as the south bridge parapet. Work continues on forming the north parapet for concrete placement next week. The subsurface abutment drainage system and inlet installations will be completed next week at the east side of the bridge as will the modular block retaining wall adjacent to the northeast wingwall. Those construction activities will then shift to the west side of the bridge. Due to material delivery delays and cold weather conditions, the project completion date has been revised from December 2014 to January 9, 2015. (12/12/2014) Replacement of Sussex County Bridge S-28 - Old Tannery Road - Stillwater Township Construction has been progressing at Bridge S-28 on Old Tannery Road in Stillwater Township, as weather has permitted. The Contractor has been working on completing the wingwalls and applying the waterproofing membrane to the rigid frame. Due to the onset of colder weather, many of the remaining construction items cannot be completed this winter, as they are temperature sensitive. As a result, the Contractor may continue to work on non-temperature sensitive items of work, but the new anticipated completion and re-opening of Old Tannery Road at Bridge S-28 is now Spring 2015. (11/13/2014) Sussex County Bridge O-07 Replacement - Public Traffic Advisory Notice. Attached is the traffic advisory for Tuesday, November 18 and Wednesday, November 19 during which time the Sussex County Division of Engineering has scheduled a Geotechnical Investigation at Bridge O-07 on Passaic Avenue in the Borough of Ogdensburg. The investigation is currently scheduled for two days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. During the work, Passaic Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic at Bridge O-07. A detour will be posted via Plant Street and Brooks Flat Road. This work is weather dependent and as such scheduling is subject to modification.
(11/13/2014) Sussex County Bridge D-21 Replacement - Public Traffic Advisory Notice Attached is the traffic advisory for Tuesday November 18 during which time the Sussex County Division of Engineering has scheduled a Geotechnical Investigation at Bridge D-21 on Armstrong Road in Frankford Township. The investigation is currently scheduled for the one day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the work, Bridge D-21 will be closed to vehicular traffic and will be open to pedestrian traffic. This work is weather dependent and as such scheduling is subject to modification.
(10/23/2014) Project Update Notice: 2014 Sussex County Resurfacing Program Please find attached the most current update notice for the 2014 Resurfacing Program. Milling & Paving of all routes except CR 517 Sparta Bypass has been completed as of October 20, 2014. Striping and Pavement Markings progress. Asphalt Plug Joints on Bridge K-03 are scheduled to be installed tomorrow October 24, 2014.
(10/21/2014) Bridge V-07 Repairs - CR-517 (McAfee Glenwood Road) - Project Completion Notice
Please be advised that as of Monday, October 20, 2014, the Phase 1 substructure repair work at Bridge V-07 on CR-517 (McAfee Glenwood Road) in Vernon Township has been completed.
Phase 2 work, which will focus on superstructure, roadway shoulder, and guide rail repairs / upgrades is preliminarily scheduled for the 2015 construction season. Additional information on Phase 2 work will be distributed as 2015 construction schedules are finalized.

Attached is a project notice for the upcoming Utility Relocation Work to be completed in support of the Sussex County Route 607, a.k.a. Maxim Drive, Retaining Wall Replacement Project currently under design.
- Utility relocation work is expected to begin on or about October 16, 2014.
- The work will include Daily Closures of CR 607 between 8:30 am and 2:10 pm.
- This work is being completed in advance of the Retaining Wall Replacement. The wall replacement is not expected to begin until the summer of 2015.
- A detour will be posted by the County during the closure(s).

(7/7/2014) Project Notice - County Route 607, a.k.a. Maxim Drive, Retaining Wall Replacement Attached is a project notice for the design and replacement of a retaining wall supporting a segment of Sussex County Route 607, a.k.a. Maxim Drive, in the Borough of Hopatcong.
Design documents are being finalized and efforts are underway to expedite utility relocations in hopes of realizing a fall construction. Replacement of the retaining wall will require a Full Closure of CR-607 at the project location. A detour will be developed to help manage the flow of traffic during the closure.
Updated Project Notices will be issued as design, bidding, and utility relocation milestones are achieved.

Streetscape Project on County Route 560 in Sandyston Township, The Township of Sandyston will be doing their Phase II-Streetscape Improvement Project on County Route 560 in the Village of Layton, alternating traffic will be taking place during the construction period.
(4/9/2014) Main Street Streetscape Project on County Route 517, Ogdensburg Borough The Borough of Ogdensburg will be doing a revitalize project on Main Street from Passaic Avenue to the Ogdensburg Fire House. (4/2/2014) Replacement of Sussex County Bridge E-07 CR 631 (North Church Road) Franklin Borough Attached is a project status update report for the Replacement of Sussex County Bridge E-07. Substantial completion and reopening CR 631 to traffic was achieved on December 30, 2013. The contractor has remobilized and is completing punch list items and preparing for landscaping. Final acceptance of the project is expected by June.

(2/15/2013) Bridge X-20 Closed - Wantage Township Carrying Berry Road over a Tributary of the West Branch of the Papakating Creek. Damage sustained during the storms of 2011 and subsequent storm events (Hurricane Sandy and other significant flows) have resulted in continued deterioration of the masonry substructure and roadway embankments at Bridge X-20. In the interest of public safety Bridge X-20 has been closed pending construction of a full bridge replacement.
