Evidence-Based Health Promotion
A MATTER OF BALANCE: Managing Concerns about Falls - FREE Peer led, 8 session (2 hours each) program that offers practical strategies to reduce fear of falling, address safety issues, increase activity levels, and improve balance, flexibility, and strength through exercise.
TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR HEALTH - Action plans for enhancing wellness for adults of all ages and caregivers who are dealing with a long term health/medical condition(s). FREE peer-led, six-week (2 ½ hour sessions) self-management workshops that are goal-oriented and include a FREE manual, "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions."
HealthEASE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS - FREE

PROJECT HEALTHY BONES - FREE, peer-led, 24 week (1 ½ hour sessions) exercise and program for men and women who are at risk, or who have osteoporosis. This program is designed to stabilize bone density, increase strength, balance and flexibility; and build muscle mass. Manual and light weights are provided.
MOVE TODAY - FREE, peer-led, 12 session (approx. 1 hour each) non-aerobic exercise program using resistance bands. This program is designed to improve flexibility, balance, stamina, muscle strength, posture, and body mechanics. Resistance bands and manual provided.
HEALTHY LIVING FESTIVAL - An annual event of Sussex County Division of Senior Services that includes FREE Health Screenings and a large variety of informational exhibits addressing health, safety, emergency preparedness, legal and financial topics, and life-enrichment opportunities such as hobbies, social clubs and volunteer programs.
Maintain a healthy lifestyle and help others do the same.
Become a Project Healthy Living volunteer leader.
