The Sussex County Community Health Partnership (SCCHP) is committed to making a positive difference regarding the health concerns of the residents of Sussex County. The Sussex county HAZ-MAT team, consisting of 20+/- full time county employees trained to the technician level is available to respond to environmental and public health emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Office of the Medical Examiner
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:9-46, there is established the position of County Medical Examiner who shall be appointed by the Board. As provided by State Statute he shall be a licensed physician with such training or experience as may be prescribed by standards promulgated by the State Medical Examiner by rule or regulation and as per State Medical Examiner Act (N.J.S.A. 52:17B-78 et seq.) This Office reports directly to the Public Health Coordinator (County Department Head).(SC Administrative Code)
