Photos of Sussex County snowplows taken December 13, 2013

Scott House, Director of the Division of Public Works, says there are 67 trucks in 8 district garages with some part-time trucks hired on an on-call basis.

A mason dump truck is filled with a single scoop from the big loader.

The big salt dome contains piles of salt and piles of mixed salt and grit.

2-4 scoops from the big loader will fill this big plow.

They're clean now, but getting ready to head out. WeatherWorks will contact the County when the snow is an hour or two away. At that time, the drivers will be called in so the plows can be positioned on County roads. Are you this prepared?
