The Working Group includes representatives from the individual participating jurisdictions. The Working Group will be responsible for local community involvement in the multi-jurisdictional mitigation plan.
All participating jurisdictions must:
Coordinate and facilitate local efforts
Attend meetings
Provide information and feedback
Involve the public and community stakeholders in the planning process
Assess mitigation alternatives
Select a course of action to be followed for their communities
Adopt the plan
Implement the plan and monitor its progress

James Lee Witt Associates (JLWA), part of GlobalOptions, Inc., is the consultant for this project.
Founded in 2001, JLWA is a leading public safety and crisis management consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., with a regional office located in Jackson, New Jersey. The planners assigned to this project have extensive experience in the development of multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plans for counties and communities within the State of New Jersey and across the country. JLWA is led by James Lee Witt who has more than 25 years of leadership and experience in public service, including eight years as the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
