Sussex County is Offering Free Digital Mammograms
(Newton) The Sussex County Division of Health, Office of Public Health Nursing is offering free mammograms in their office located at 201 Wheatsworth Road in Hamburg, NJ. The screening will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Breast health education will also be available at the time of screening.
Mammograms will be available to both uninsured and underinsured county residents, although, residents who have comprehensive health care insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid are not eligible for this clinic service. Grant eligible clients in the NJCEED program do qualify.
Even without insurance, every woman in Sussex County can have a mammogram. Make the call and get your mammogram today. Appointment times can be made by calling the Office of Public Health Nursing, at 973-579-0570 extension 1246, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required and participants must schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
