Press Release - Plea of Zachary Johnson

February 5, 2018
 
     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on February 5, 2018, by Zachary Johnson.
 
     Johnson, age 26 of Acworth, Georgia, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for March 16, 2018. 
 
     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of heroin on August 31, 2016, in Ogdensburg.
 
     The case was investigated by Patrolman Christopher Geene of the Ogdensburg Police Department. 
 
     Johnson was represented by Peter Aziz, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
