Press Release - Plea of Carrie Woods

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 29, 2018, by Carrie Woods.
     Woods, age 24, of Brooklyn, New York, pled guilty to two (2) counts of Conspiracy, a third crime and two (2) counts of Forgery, a third degree crime. On April 6, 2017, Woods entered the Quick Check in Newton and tried to make a purchase with a fraudulent $100 bill. On April 15, 2017, Woods entered the Quick Check in Hopatcong and used a fake $100 bill to make a purchase. Sentencing is presently anticipated for March 23, 2018.
     Woods was represented by Thomas F. Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
