Press Release - Plea of Jason Sinclair

January 18, 2018
 
     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea before the Honorable N. Peter Conforti, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 16, 2018, by Jason Sinclair.
 
     Sinclair, age 43, of Stanhope, New Jersey, pled guilty to one (1) count of Witness Tampering, a third degree crime, one (1) count of Criminal Mischief, a fourth degree crime, and one (1) count of Contempt, a disorderly persons offense.
 
     Sinclair was arrested following a domestic violence incident with his his ex-girlfriend and after he smashed her car windshield with a mailbox post. Sinclair was again arrested after threatening his ex-girlfriend if she did not drop charges against him.
 
     Sentencing is presently anticipated for March 2, 2018.
 
     Sinclair was represented by Shaun M. Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie C. LaCarrubba.
